ReaDI-Watch was founded in 2021 to transform how organisations manage and deliver research and development. We are building the operating system for better R&D.

Our mission

By 2030, ReaDI-Watch will transform how the world does R&D. R&D is the engine of human progress — yet most of the knowledge created through it is lost, buried in documents, inboxes, and the memories of people who move on. ReaDI-Watch exists to change that. We are building the platform where every experiment, every result, and every breakthrough is captured, structured, and ready to build on — so that the next breakthrough starts further ahead.

By 2030, we will

• Empower 10,000 innovators to execute world-class Research and Experimental Development with our product.
• Radically improve Time to Market of new and improved products and processes, through 'best practice' and 'next practice' R&D management tools.
• 50× reduce the burden of documentation for engineers, scientists and developers, with our AI-assisted platform.
• Bridge academic and industrial R&D through the platform's shared ontology.
• Bridge the funding language gap between R&D funders (private and public), R&D/IP tax incentives, and companies — to truly fund the technologies that will drive humanity's progress.

What we're building to get there

• AI-powered R&D Management OS: R&D knowledge capture and reuse; identifying and planning R&D in the context of innovation, product development and customer delivery.
• AI-powered Financial R&D OS: Measuring and planning spend (attribution) to R&D; measuring and planning fundable R&D (qualification).
• Virtual R&D Assistants & Experts: Execute faster; collaborate.

Dave Byrne — Co-founder & CEO

Dave leads ReaDI-Watch on its mission to help companies increase the return on their R&D and Innovation investment. He was Highly Commended as Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2025 AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards.

Prof. Gerry Byrne — Co-founder

Gerry is the former Dean of Engineering at UCD and Former Senior Adviser to the President of Fraunhofer Gesellschaft. He founded GB Innovation, the consulting practice whose success and methodology inspired ReaDI-Watch, and his years advising companies on R&D investment, tax credits, and grant funding are the expertise now encoded in the platform.

Aisling Kirwan — Co-founder

Aisling is a former Senior R&D Leader at Kerry Foods. She co-founded ReaDI-Watch in 2021 with a clear goal: to change the way companies invest in R&D and Innovation, and to make a proven approach accessible to companies of every size and stage.
